Steerprop azimuth propulsors are used to propel or position vessels by controlling the strength and the direction of propeller thrust.

A New Generation of Azimuth Propulsors

The development of the Steerprop Azimuth Propulsor range - a totally new generation of azimuth propulsors - started from a blank piece of paper in 2000. Exploiting the combined experience of the Steerprop Team (then more than 180 years of azimuth thruster industry) and a mass of input and feedback from shipowners, superintendents, shipyards and naval architects the principles and basic design was determined.

Basic Philosophy
The design the Steerprop propulsors is based on the following principal philosophy: Reliability, Performance, Environment, Ergonomics
